I have Cerebral Palsy, it effect my arms, my leg and I can’t talk. I use a Dynavox to communicate. I have to deal with depression. . I grow up in Waukegan. I attended a normal public school. When I was younger I played Special Olympics softball. In third grade I got my first communicate device. The device was big and it weighs 5 pounds. I live in my own apartment with a personal aide. I played for Paralympic Boccia. I work at The Arts of Life as a their archive and an artist. I write poetry. I am a published author. I wrote a books called Chicago’s seasons and Being in Harmony with Nature .

My Next Challenge

I am over weight. I stop drinking pop. I was drinking 3 pops a day, and I eating a small pizza or burrito for a night time snack. I change my diet I am eating more fruits and vegetables. I have salads. I am drinking more water and juice. I eating fruits or granola bar for a night time smack.
I walk a lap with my walker around my building one time a day. I ride my exercise bike. Wednesday I am going to an exercise class.  We start with a warm up, then we walk the track. My short term goals are go around the track 6 times, go around my building 1 time. I will ride my bike for 45 minutes. My long term goals are to lose 20 pounds, and ride in Rainbow Challenge in September.

  1. Way to go, Chris, those all sound like great choices. As someone who also struggles with weight loss, I know that daily exercise makes me feel good mentally as well, even if the pounds don't fall off.
