I have Cerebral Palsy, it effect my arms, my leg and I can’t talk. I use a Dynavox to communicate. I have to deal with depression. . I grow up in Waukegan. I attended a normal public school. When I was younger I played Special Olympics softball. In third grade I got my first communicate device. The device was big and it weighs 5 pounds. I live in my own apartment with a personal aide. I played for Paralympic Boccia. I work at The Arts of Life as a their archive and an artist. I write poetry. I am a published author. I wrote a books called Chicago’s seasons and Being in Harmony with Nature .

My Summer Vacation


Many people take their vacation by renting a cabin in the woods. I did that in my own way. I went to Camp Horizon for with people physical adult’s disabilities. The camp is my vacation. The camp theme was super hero. This year I was pare up with Creagh. He was great.
On the first day it rained in the morning we went to art and crafts we made super hero capes. Afternoon we went super hero mystery game. I went fishing and saw the new dock.

I road a horse and afternoon I want swimming.   I went to the camp carnival each cabin made up a game.

We got up at 5 a m to go for the balloon ride.  It was awesome. we went swimming.  In the night we went on the boat an ice cream truck came.
 I went fishing. I got a fish.  We listen to 2 piano players; I love that
 

To celebrate camp 25 years’ anniversary, we have very nice dinner not camp food. We had program with a video.  Some fireworks went off, and a band played.  I had a great time.
